About Google Instant
Have you noticed Google's latest change when you type in any search term? I'm talking about how the search field and even the interface change immediately as you type your search term into Google. [caption id="attachment_75" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Google Instant"][/caption] This is called Google Instant. And there has been some talk in the IM circles that say Google Instant will adversely affect SEO because (1) Google's list of search suggestions will not bring up the keyword you're targeting for and (2) the searcher might change his mind as he types or once he sees the keyword suggestions and search for another keyword ...
At Boracay with John Jonas
Ahh...the Internet lifestyle. Going to exotic places, meeting wonderful people and making money at the same time. I was at Boracay, the beautiful island in the Philippines recently. Attended an Internet Marketing Seminar on Outsourcing and met guys like John Jonas (the organizer), Joel Peterson and others. I had a wonderful time in Boracay, which is a stunning place. I think it's one of the most beautiful places on earth...warm sunny weather, clear blue skies, emerald blue sea, white sand, swaying coconut trees, wonderful people. With Reed Floren
Hey, remember I said in my last post that Reed Floren and I are good buddies? Well, we made a trip together down to Malacca, the historical city of Malaysia after the Global Internet Summit. Reed was traveling with his girlfriend, Purnima, who also came with us. We went over to the A Formosa fort, the Maritime Museum, St. Paul's hill and visited a reptile and bird park. You've probably heard of my friend, Reed Floren. He is an Internet marketer from Minnesota who started marketing online since the tender age of 13. The Wordpress Dashboard
The Wordpress Dashboard is accessible via the URL http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin or http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin. You enter your username and password (the ones provided by Wordpress, not the ones provided by your hosting company like Hostgator) in the opening screen (see last part of the video on “Wordpress Installation”). You can change your password inside the dashboard itself.
The Dashboard is your back-end office where you can create posts, pages, add plugins and widgets. Plugins are additional scripts that add more functionality to your Wordpress blog. For instance, you can have a comments section or a sitemap (for the search engines to decipher what your blog is about), these can be added using plugins. Widgets are additional layout features to add to your blog. For instance you could have a blogroll or a tag cloud of your keywords. These are widgets and they are normally added somewhere on the right or left sidebars.
This video gives you an overview of the front page of your Wordpress dashboard.
